Next Step Training + Placement Available Dogs
NEXT STEP training + placement program
Occasionally we have dogs in our Next Step program. These dogs come from a wide variety of backgrounds, including shelters, rescues, & rehome situations. During their time in our Next Step program, they will learn how to be a good family member for their perfect fit, and will complete training that includes basic life skills & obedience, and any specialized training they need. Dogs will be microchipped and current on vaccinations prior to adoption.
The cost of these dogs will reflect the time and training invested into them.

About: 10.12.26 We are still getting to know this little girl but she is really starting to come out of her shell. She is sweet as pie and loves to give kisses. She's still pretty timid and working on gaining confidence, but she is making great progress.
She has met a variety of dogs and has done well with them all. She doesn't interact directly with them yet, but in true border collie fashion she will herd the ones playing fetch.
She seems to love people, has met and really liked kids, and has not shown inappropriate behavior with cats.
She would be a fun little pocket rocket running or biking buddy, would love to go on hiking adventures, dabble in casual dog sports, and just be with her person.
She is an active dog that will need plenty of appropriate mental and physical exercise.

About: 10.12.26 We are still getting to know this boy and seeing parts of his true personality start to show. He is still a bit timid and insecure, but has really started to gain confidence. He has met a variety of dogs, and while he still keeps to himself, he has been friendly and tolerant.
His ideal home would be somewhere he can truly relax and decompress after whatever adventures he gets to do during the day. A home with small children or multiple dogs will be too much for him. He would be ok with a respectful dog friend that won't overwhelm him, or being an only dog. He has not shown inappropriate interest in cats and would probably be ok with a cat sibling after proper introductions - he's a herding dog after all!
He would make a great weekend warrior adventure buddy, biking or running buddy, possibly dabble in casual dog sports, and just be an all around best friend for his person. He is an active dogs that will need plenty of appropriate mental and physical exercise.
