The Meet & Greet is a short afternoon appointment that allows your dog to meet us, check the place out and gives us a chance to assess whether or not we are a good fit for them. Boarding & daycare environments are vastly different from most dog's normal experiences and some dogs find boarding to be the best vacation ever, while others can be very stressed and overwhelmed. The Meet & Greet gives us an opportunity to see how your dog reacts to being a new place with strangers and without their owners, & gives your dog the opportunity to check the place out! If they pass, it will make their first stay less stressful, as they will already have some positive experience with being here!
If your dog has previously passed their Meet & Greet, but it has been longer than 6 months since their last stay, we ask that you contact us to bring them in for an afternoon to get reacquainted with us before their next stay.
If your dog shows signs of being anxious, but otherwise does good with us and the other dogs, we may ask that you bring them back again before your first reservation to help them with the transition. We want everyone who stays to be as comfortable and happy as possible!
If we end up not being a good fit for your pup, for whatever reason, we have other businesses we can recommend.
While we do our best to accommodate as many families as we can, for our safety and the safety of the other pets in our care, we cannot accept human or animal aggressive dogs, dogs that are extremely anxious being kenneled, dogs that are escape artists, or dogs that are destructive when confined in a dog run, kennel, or yard. Due to our proximity to residential areas, we cannot accept dogs that are excessive barkers. We must be able to safely leash and handle the dogs in our care. We are a small facility and our top priorities will always be the safety & health of the pets that stay with us, with that in mind, we do not allow bull breeds in group play. As of January 1, 2024, we are no longer taking new bully breed type dogs, including but not limited to : pit bull types & mixes, american staffordshire terriers, staffordshire terriers, american bullies, micro bullies, Rottweilers, Chow chows, certain mastiff types, or any mixes of those breeds.
Before scheduling a Meet & Greet, make sure your dog has the required vaccinations!
Please note: We cannot book or "block off" boarding or daycare reservations until after your dog has completed & passed their Meet & Greet.
